Kyloen Adds Photo-Based Homework Help: Children Can Now Share Images of Problems for AI Guidance

Vision AI analyses handwritten homework, textbook pages, and problem sets to provide personalised Socratic guidance

New Delhi, India

Kyloen today launched photo-based homework help, enabling children to share images of handwritten homework, textbook pages, and problem sets directly with Kylo for personalised Socratic guidance. The feature uses vision AI to interpret handwritten content, printed text, diagrams, and mathematical notation.

When a child photographs a homework problem, Kylo identifies the subject area, specific topic, and difficulty level before constructing a personalised discovery path. The AI never provides direct answers. Instead, it asks guiding questions, offers relevant hints, and uses the child's known interests to create analogies that make abstract concepts tangible.

Handwriting Recognition for Indian Students

The vision system has been optimised for the handwriting patterns common among Indian school students, including mixed Hindi-English notation, CBSE and ICSE textbook formats, and the graph paper and ruled notebook layouts used in Indian schools.

"When it's 11pm and your child is stuck on a maths problem, they don't need an answer key. They need someone patient enough to help them figure it out. Kylo is that someone," said Neha Kapoor, Founder and CEO.
