What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or use a web app. They help the app remember who you are between visits. Kyloen uses a minimal set of cookies — only what is genuinely necessary to make the app work and to help us improve it for children.
Essential cookies — required for login
These cookies are set by Supabase, our authentication provider, and are absolutely necessary for you to stay logged in. Without them, the app cannot work.
Disabling these cookies will break your ability to log in to Kyloen.
Analytics cookies — PostHog
We use PostHog for product analytics. These cookies help us understand how parents and children use Kyloen — which features are used, where people get stuck, and what we should improve. All data is anonymised and aggregated.
PostHog does not link analytics data to your personal identity. No child conversation data is included in analytics. You can opt out of analytics cookies without affecting your ability to use Kyloen.
No advertising cookies. Not one.
Kyloen uses absolutely no advertising cookies, no retargeting cookies, and no third-party tracking pixels from Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, or any other advertising platform. We will never add advertising trackers to a children's app. This is a permanent commitment, not a temporary policy.
No third-party tracking
No third-party social media scripts, sharing widgets, or embedded content from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, Google, or similar platforms are loaded on Kyloen. There is nothing on this app that tracks your child across the internet.
How to disable cookies
You can manage cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies
- Safari (iPhone): Settings → Safari → Block All Cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy → Enhanced Tracking Protection
Important: Disabling essential cookies (sb-auth-token) will prevent you from logging in to Kyloen. Analytics cookies (ph_*) can be safely disabled without affecting functionality.
Changes to this policy
If we ever add new cookies or change how we use existing ones, we will update this page and notify you by email. We will never add advertising or tracking cookies without your explicit consent.
